The UK is terrible about septic shock. TERRIBLE. So many people die from it here and instead of getting better detection tools than ‘it doesn’t LOOK like shock’ they just keep doubling down on the suffering then have to ‘apologise’.

There seems to be an adamant refusal to admit anything bad could happen to children due to covid. The UK went so far as to say kids were getting infected from contact with dogs and the reason they needed organ replacement was because of this mysterious dog -carrying illness. Not Covid.

It’s infuriating. I’m not sure we’re much better in Canada when it comes to sepsis - they certainly missed it in me despite me going to the ER over and over. It’s appalling that they’re ignoring the damage Covid is doing to children though… so many won’t make it to adulthood 😔

The fact that the whole family was sick TWICE during this time - and the little boy was the one to not recover - strongly pointed to LC. it doesn’t sound like the doctors even ASKED about COVID.

We KNOW COVID caused clots & vascular issues - this should never happen to anyone (let alone a child) /2

In immunology class I learned that being sick more than 11 days should involve a doctor, let alone enough time for the whole family to get sick and recover *again*.

And like, the immune system kinda shuts itself down after 11 days, so if you're crossing that threshold, it usually means you need a little extra help.

Even an adult shouldn't be staying sick for that long. But a kid. Kids are more vulnerable in a lot of ways.
