Sadly I know a number of fellow disabled people who are pro-Trump. But they’re also the kind of disabled people who see the failures of US healthcare as medicine being a scam, not as greed screwing human beings.
One of them is a middle aged woman with MS, breaks my heart.

Medicine isn’t a scam, it’s American healthcare system. This price gouging doesn’t happen in other “developed” nations around the world w/Universal Healthcare.
But medicine itself is the reason I’m alive & can walk after being run over by a bus at 13. Kept my fingers after an accident at 18.

I hope that doesn’t happen but I’m also terrified it will. I’ve seen people say that the Dems don’t care about the disabled either, and while I agree things have been bad the last 4 years, Medicaid wasn’t on the chopping block.

So many won’t survive without it and we should be mad as hell.

They accepted repeat infections as inevitable so they wouldn’t have to adapt their lives in any way.
