A young lady originally from Whitehorse is being detained in a detention center in Arizona. She was detained March 3rd, after her visa was denied.

In fairness this wasn’t a Canadian who was detained. She was French and visiting someone in Canada. Still awful and still wrong, but very rare for a Canadian to be detained for any length of time.

It’s early, I suspect we will see mainstream press on it soon. The Brit who was detained started with a fb post and now there’s an article in the Guardian. Hopefully they get press to apply pressure to bring her home.

I'm not doubting it's happening. Two Germans I know of thus far, the UK citizen, plenty of others. But I also have to remind myself to stay vigilant and not give in to the hot quick share if there's not much to go on.

I’m in Ca if there is anything I can do. Go to the facility and bring her something or idk. Not sure if you know these people. Know I’m a stranger but I can give info. Feel so bad. This has to be horrible!
