Now is an excellent time to start keeping a diary or journal.
We’ve seen first hand how easily information can get scrubbed from the internet. Don’t rely on your socials to tell your story.
Document atrocities. Share moments of hope. Make sure future generations know how we fell into fascism.

While I still think that's important, in some cases preserving the story for yourself is enough.
That's what I did during Covid. I created 2 years of spreadsheets and notes for 2 local counties specifically for the sake of history.
It was only after, I realized that the data could be removed by the CDC, NIH & my data may be the only information available for the area in the future.
As 2020 unfolded, my mom fell apart mentally & I had members from 2 family units relying on me (the medicine history obsessive) to research everything and tell them what they needed to know to stay alive +
So many people thought that I was nuts to keep that spreadsheet going.
And your idea of a newsletter is genius. I gave everyone a 3 page list in Feb 2020, but that was too easy to ignore. Your every day letters were much more effective than my list. ❤️
Let's co-publish when H5N1 arrives! Think of a funny name and create a Bluesky account for it 😀
(I also manage a TV consumption spreadsheet with 14 permanent streaming providers & 3 rotating ones for 2 different households, it's wild)
I have the jpegs archived on a flash drive & the originals stored in a fire proof safe
It's interesting to go back and see just how much has happened in these past couple of months.
I still have hope that good will prevail over evil.
Nonetheless, I save all my emails with family and friends to a tiny hard drive, just in case things go bad. There will be a record of my experience.
It’s not something I’m waiting for others to do, but the faith I count on while I’m throwing myself out there, that other people are going to be there to meet me.
I guess I’m also out there to meet them.

Write once sentence per day, even if it's something trivial: "Ugh, shouldn't have eaten that burrito."
