Well, any programmer can hack in any language. But writing _good_ code requires a deeper conceptual understanding of how all the parts of the language and its standard libraries fit together. I think one thing that takes time to appreciate with Go is that idiomatic Go involves crafting semantics so that the zero value for a struct has a clear, useful meaning.

That's true, although I think other things like structural typing and correct use of channels probably have a bigger impact on high-level architectural decisions. Maybe I'll post something more on this...

Yeah. I've mostly worked on library design, so if you do something on the architectural implications of channels and goros, I'd love to see it.
