The people who took in Jewish people in the holocaust and hid them were not extraordinary people who were trying to be like Jesus. They were ordinary people with a conscience who knew they had a duty to rebel against power. Anyone can be this way. Everyone should.
This is the time for government workers to “lose paperwork” and slow things down and for doctors to help patients because it isn’t just a moral duty, it’s their oath to do it.
This is a time where companies need to say no to the government too.
It’s important to note that most of them war didn’t feel like saviors. They felt like they didn’t do enough. They felt like they should have stopped things before it got to the point they felt the need to hide people. We’re too late for that I guess since they’re at the concentration camp stage.
