I'm in Manchester, NH, which is about 4x population of Kingston.

My biggest questions are: (1) how hard it would be to do as a cooperatively owned team / B corp instead of a nonprofit and (2) what you would do to hit profitability if you were starting from scratch now.

(1) Co-op? Like a crowdfunded team? I've seen in done a bunch of times. As long as you don't need to go to every shareholder for every decision it's fine (and cool!)...

(2) Profitability = lots of diff sponsorshop opps (from $20k jerseys to $500 local biz) and find a way to make jerseys on the cheap (and change them up often). VT Green and Providence City FC both do a great job at this. (if you are paying $40 wholesale/jersey it's tough to do)

Providence City does an amazing job on quality merch that is affordable. I am all the way in Michigan and have a Rogues kit (thanks to them), a T-shirt that has lasted 4 years and a thick hoodie. Their people are worth talking too.

Yeah, Providence City peeps are great people. Same for VT Green. TBH, I honestly haven't met *anyone but good people* in soccer, with the exception of a small handful of folks in BoD roles at the NPSL. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t want to go to them other than at annual general meetings, but want them to get financial reports and have a real stake in the team.

Ownership is valuable for evangelism, as the Packers showed.
