I get what you're saying, but on Krypton, I think it's not just about a cadre of evil scientists. It's about who controls what is and isn't considered science, and not for purely scientific reasons, but usually for their own ends. We'll explore that more in later issues of this first arc.

@jason-aaron.bsky.social Just read Absolute Superman. Loved it. My only issue: the awful ruling class being scientists. In the real world it could be yet another thing that makes people wary of science.

Suggestion: a class just above that manipulates the science class to ruin the planet?
