her mom and i have talked more in the last several months than we have in the last several years - and she is totally open and willing. but it's just not the same and it's very hard to find time to see each other.

For what it’s worth, I’m in this exact situation with two (now late teen) girls who were very much my daughters.

The relationship changes, but it’s still worthy and beautiful. I still see them.

And yeah… “losing” them (in a day to day sense) broke me for quite some time.
