I have played every edition of Dungeons & Dragons.
I've watched it evolve over the decades as new concepts were born and adopted.
I've also played many other games throughout the same time. I always returned to D&D.
But this D&D 2024 5E, does not do enough to make me care or need to update to it.

Loved 4th, and it in many ways pushed some amazing boundaries, while it tried to capitalize on WoW.
5th, finally was mostly my jam. It was simple and yet complex enough to do the job well.
So out of that came 2 systems I have backed and preordered.
They both present their systems with a clear line from D&D, but with over 40+ years of advances in the artform of our hobby Tabletop Gaming.
For me, they both offer something fun and amazing to play.
But I did enjoy the tactical cinematic nature of Draw Steel. Wish it was on Demiplane.
At the end of the day, Daggerheart & Draw Steel are getting my money. (Technically already have.)
