Did no one see this shallow angled, wee incline stretching across a bike path on paper and think hmm, maybe this isn't a good idea?
Esp with the metal texture plates?

In practice, the steel plates create a slipping hazard due to their raised smooth textures, their placement doesn't seem to aid visually impaired people at all, the angle of the curb itself

And please don't take this as personal criticism. It's not.
It’s always disconcerting because it’s not expecting at all and you’re not really sure what is happening to the bike path as it abruptly transitions into unpleasant twsi plates. Somehow is worse than riding over them straight on.
For example, the bulbs further west mean the path is never properly plowed, which resulted in my first winter spill 3 years ago at Carruthers.
Those tire tracks tell a truth. #ottbike
The City will never be able to accomplish full width plowing here. The bike lane here was completely covered.
I'm trying to figure out the purpose of it.
