My issue ended up being the opposite on FB, everyone I was interested in was also posting less and the feed was full of garbage promoted posts. It is the same network effect that make FB great, but in reverse. Hope the same happens to Twitter.
Same here. After the clear way Facebook took money to influence the 2016 elections, by selling user data and promoting disinformation, I stopped using Facebook and so did almost everyone I know.
I wiped out my FB account a couple of weeks ago and changed my name, email and pic to go silent. I’m only keeping it as a burner account for market place. I’ve had a 12 year messenger chat going with my 3 college roommates and I moved us over to discord. It’s much better.
I am on many group discord servers and it is a nice way to interact with strangers who have similar interests. We wanted to get off any platform zuck could potently pull info from when they start seeking out dissenters. 😉My friend works for the Fed so she has to be extra careful.
