I’ve never seen the bandstand area but strikes me as relatively small. Too small for them?
Maybe just feature other Rock Action artists?
Intriguing and I’m up for it again.

Bandstand capacity is 2,200 so I’d imagine it’s the type of venue that Mogwai might play consecutive nights outwith regular touring.

QMU capacity is 900 so it’ll be interesting to see how the difference in capacities are managed. Were the two stages on at same time last year?

I see it’s all spread over the bandstand and the QMU so maybe a bigger lineup this year.

The bandstand is used for the summer sessions, so lots of big bands (ie, popular not swing 🤓) have played there. Would definitely be a smaller crowd than Queens Park, but would make sense as a one-off.

It’ll be interesting to see the lineup. Hopefully Mogwai will play - it would be a cool annual thing. They’re playing QMU on Friday to launch the new album.

I certainly am suggesting that.
Whether I opt for that is very debatable.
But it’s tempting.
Old goths never die.
Having said that I’ve deliberately avoided the Sisters live experience in recent years.

How would it work practically?
I don’t know what the capacity of the bandstand is, and would they be able to have a second stage somewhere close for a similar full day?
Perhaps they’ll revert to just one stage and 6-8 bands spread out over a day?

It's also at QMU which is only a ten minute walk away, I expect that will play the part of the second stage.

Now trying to work out if I can justify a fourth Mogwai outing this year. (Probably.)

Although 10 mins is quite far for a 2-stage festival.
