It’s staggering. Famines haven’t been increasing, but decreasing. This is a gd explainer. That there are more+better ways to prev true famine, speaks to the real horror o/the situation esp the rapid onset. There was widespread malnutrition prior in Gaza

That’s not what this says, it says “ 854 million people worldwide are estimated to be undernourished”. Some will die from related conditions. Hunger is a different state than starvation -which is a medical condition. You do realize this is fr ten years ago or longer when Ban Ki Moon was UN Sec Gen?

It's strangely in-line with the The United Nations World Food Programme, which in 2021 stated that 9 million people die every year from hunger. Pretty sure your statistics, like your attempt to differentiate 'starvation' and 'dying from hunger,' are bunk.

OXFAM claims that between 2,828,750 and 5,600,925 people die from hunger and malnutrition, if you trust them more than you trust the UN. Either way, your claim looks rather disingenuous and cherry-picked.

It's possible to oppose something, and to advocate for someone, without lying. Try it out!

I feel that this is precisely what Hamas wanted: for Israel to attack, causing its immiseration of Gaza to be acute rather than chronic; and for the IDF to be unable to accomplish its goals, flailing uselessly while Hamas continues to holds Israeli hostages below.
