I deleted my accounts on all right after the election. FB boosted posts by Russian trolls, added more pro right bots and suppressed pro democratic post. They did it to me. I suggest u do the same. He is officially adding AI bot accounts. Think about that.

Signal is awesome so long as the person you are chatting with uses it. Sadly, most communications is still happening over unencrypted voice and SMS using legacy phone numbers. (Including US politicians that were just compromised by a hack.)

Depressing that no more people are using Signal. Remember that Meta gobbled WhatsApp in 2014 it up in order to push the users towards use Facebook Messenger. It injected the absolute minimal effort into updating WhatsApp functionality because it wanted to kill it off.

Maybe ,but it works for the moment. Lion has a proton acc for when he wants security and he runs his own groups on telegram.

We already use Signal at Common Futures, because it's more secure. And I'm quite surprised about how many of my contacts already have it, although WhatsApp is more frequently used.

I’m interested in what way you think Signal is “more secure”? They both use the same underlying encryption algorithms to ensure full End-to-End-Encryption (E2EE). Which is not the whole story, of course, hence my interest, but I’m not immediately persuaded that the messaging itself is less secure.

Messenger is terribly easy and well known. It's difficult to get people to change. I have been introduced to another LINE is not 'accepted' in Myanmar, Viber. I only have 1 friend using it, but I think it is also quite private.
I haven't gone to TikTok. I have enough distractions😄
