Scotland would have to pay for its own defence (including military hardware). It would need to given current global trends of near neighbours - England might want to do a US/Canada and invade.

Wake up to yourself - Scotland already does pay for its own defence. The English give nothing away for free - without consultation they decide how much we 'owe' them for defence, and deduct it from our own money which they collect. £3.5 billion annually - more than twice Ireland's defence budget.
The amount Scotland is deemed to pay for defence is decided by the Scottish Government. It's a population share of the UK budget, do you think that it should be more or less than that, and why?
Why do you think we aren't consulted when Scotland has a greater than population share of MP's?
I have looked in many places. All I see are claims that GERS ignores things it doesn't ignore, or claims it says things it doesn't, or claims that we should use processes that fly in the face of international standards.
If you have something that is an error, particularly a material one, then say.

The Scottish Government, councils and public corporations spent £66.8b
WM Pensions and benefits in Scotland were £21b and Network Rail spending in Scotland was £1b.
That's every penny raised in Scotland spent in Scotland, so who actually paid for Scotland's share of defence?
