If ever there was a time that the Labour Party (LINO) should start listening to its members over Proportional Representation it's now! the Only way to rout Reform is to adopt PR before the next GE. The same can be said for the Tories, although I'm not sure their members want it.
PR has always been a Green Party priority, and as we carry on with a growing number of Parties on each ticket is all the more important, as Carla said only a few days ago at the next GE it's possible the winning party could have as few as 30% of the votes cast under FPTP. Not a democracy without PR!
I just do not accept that argument. The surge to the right can only be arrested by a coalition of fair minded people who act on their convictions. The greatest threat to democracy is apathy, from the fair minded majority, we need to plug that message now, more than ever before.
So what coalition would that be? The Conservatives are lurching ever more to the right, the LibDems have ambitions of their own and the Greens don't know what they want to be.
The bottom line is that voters chose @teamlabouruk.bsky.social because they were fed up of the failed policies of the Tories. Carrying on the same policies was never going to work. So start being the Labour Party that voters wanted and expected.
What we long for us someone to be honest about how deep in the shit we are and imaginative and courageous about how to improve things and and passionate and immoveable about justice and fairness
