Canada has a high standard of living with a good social safety net. Yes, the cost of living is high in some parts of Canada, like Vancouver and Toronto. You need a good income to live there.
I do live here and big cities are expensive but our physicians seem to live rather comfortably and the majority of the country is made up of small and medium size cities that are half the cost or less for housing.
They are, however, very over worked due to the shortages.
Maybe a steep cut in pay, but Canadians are not as litigious & our healthcare system allows medical professionals to actually care for & make decisions that are best for individuals, not what some insurance company decides to cover π¨π¦ππ
Health care professionals live a very comfortable life in Canada. We have a good education system and crime is significantly lower compared to the USA.
I'm an RN and LMT in WA state. I've heard that transitions to Canadian licenses for those two are particularly hard. Is there something new in the works?

They really could just accept all the educated American refugees and instantly up their status to #1 Superpower, especially as the US burns down in the fire sale.
