It seems very clear that internationally there's a major drive to privatize any public services that can be monetized. The oligarchs are eager to take advantage of everything they possibly can, and circumstances are certainly in their favor at the moment.
Yep. For years a package would track to Springfield and I could depend on getting it the next day. This is just the most extreme of recent delays. Trump's appointing DeJoy (with his financial interests in private delivery systems) has been an efficient way to make private services seem preferable.
