"Touch a four leaf clover, Maybe we'll get over..." - Badu Found this out in the yard today. Can't get that song outta my head now. Good.

Trump just nominated Paul Ingrassia to run the Office of Special Counsel. Ingrassia is a former far-right podcast host and election denier who once shared an article calling for “martial law” to keep Donald Trump in office following his loss in the 2020 election. He's 29.

People seem somewhat uptight recently

I sure hope it doesn't turn out that the best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity, because boy would that ever suck.

Pretty little moth outside the window this morning. Don't know its name.

They're determined to bleach that island White if it's the last thing they do. These actions are NOT unrelated to the fact that the Vineyard's been one of the safest summer spots in all New England for Black folk for decades. Treating a new Covid strain like a crime and not a public health issue is deranged.

BREAKING: Trump tariffs blocked in court

US Court of International Trade has issued unanimous ruling in case against Trump “liberation day” tariffs ruling also covers case filed by 12 states led by Oregon All tariffs invalidated as beyond scope of executive power; implementation blocked by permanent injunction, per @ilyasomin.bsky.social

If this isn't big (only because Trumpism doesn't give up easily) it's certainly an auspicious beginning for an end to the idiotic ongoing tariff saga. Thumbs up to the LJC.

The article sans paywall:

From Ehud Olmert:

I turned 71 yesterday and woke up today very concerned that I'm no longer 41. Take it from me, the voice of experience: don't age.

Damn them and their "tactics". This is happening everywhere now: the summary removal of access to due process at exactly the moment when people are, as is required of them, going through the legal processes of...due process. This isn't pro-American in the least. This is ENTIRELY anti-American.
