If ever there was any force I wish I'd never met I'll tell you without hesitation: It's the internet Living the nightmare: I'm old, autistic, lost in the Connecticut woods, twelve years past my sell-by date, and a big giant pottymouth.

Well OK but now it's reminded me of an old favorite of mine circa 1980 and I still like mine better because it's such a happier song www.youtube.com/watch?v=caxV...

They're just determined to never stop fucking around aren't they? It's a tactic that Trump learned from Roy Cohn decades ago and he's used it in court all his life: delay, delay, delay until his opposition is broke and exhausted and gives up. They're trying it here; they can't be allowed to succeed.

The deal's a great big beautiful Ouroboros straight out of central casting, making America great again.

I wish he'd just take the time to do some kind of yoga retreats on the weekends or something, a little self-care, you know, so he could come back to work on Monday morning centered, refreshed and focused instead of WHATEVER THIS CONSTANT FLOW OF ABOMINABLE BULLSHIT IS OMG

Community and a sense of belonging have decreased IN REAL LIFE to the extent that their functioning has been handed over to social media. I was wary of this possibility from the beginning and I despise the fact that I was right. Because I was wary, I noticed the changes as they took place. It's bad.

Remember when observing Holy Week was the opposite of "extraordinary", as in it was SOLEMN? Now they're two steps away from using it for fundraising at Holy Week monster truck rallies in the "sanctuary" auditorium/tracks of megachurches, I swear. God help us all. Like, literally. Please.

Fine. Trump's tariffs will go up to 525% tomorrow morning, if not sooner. And none of this will ever end. It's an ouroboros of stupidity.

I have no choice but to ask: did they happen to be big, strong people, literally big and strong and right out of central casting kinds of people, and did they have tears in their eyes? Because if so, or maybe if not, they must have thought you were someone else.

I understand it's not what you're asking for, but I feel I want to remind you that just one week from today the Easter Bunny is going to bring eggs back to our troubled nation. This is the promise of AMERICA 🇺🇸 This is OUR starter pack. HTH.

The market? It's Trump's personal yo-yo.

I'm 6'3" and something like 200lbs last I knew. Pretty lean now, I weighed about 220 when I was younger and obsessed with muscle. There's zero chance Trump weighs a mere 25lbs more than I do now. ZERO.

Yeah. Toqueville's and Asimov's too, I'm afraid.

Having been thusly encouraged by tariffs to reshore, I'm getting ahead of the game this time. Effective immediately, I'm producing medicines in my kitchen and semiconductors in my garage. I'm doing my part!

I found this picture on the internet. I don't know if it's real or made up, though. No one does.

The true consequence of decades of near zero interest rates is now a bunch of glue eaters with the IQ of potted plants have become extremely wealthy and are going to use their influence to unravel the economy because they don't understand how a single thing works.

Lol yeah so they're CREATING a "time of conflict". Has there ever been a single problem that Trump has "solved" that he didn't create in the first place?

Let's keep in mind that this dummy announced two days ago that he's "not ruling out" a run for the presidency in 2028, so we can expect him to not go away until he's done with that particular fantasy. As long as he keeps his fellow dummies clicking and watching, HIS "attention economy" is working.

Leaders engaged in defiant uncompromising performatively disobedient opposition are rallying people by the tens of thousands, leaders who pursue bipartisanship with fascists are hiding their faces behind folders. Notice the difference? Which one do you think will create success? This is simple.

Bipartisanship is the result of good-faith responsible governance, it is not the cause. Trying to create good results by seeking bipartisanship with Nazis is like sleeping in a yellowjacket nest for the honey.

Rather than straining the limits of his mind with another one of those tough "person woman man camera tv" tests, this time they gave him a children's puzzle placemat from a defunct Chuck E. Cheese franchise and left him alone in a room with some crayons for an hour. And you know what? HE ACED IT!!!

Ol' Backwards Bruenig should really examine the way those "somethings that call you mommy" so often run far and fast as soon as they're old enough to escape mommy's grasping grasp.

Yeah, the trajectory seems to be a reversion to the original American plan: rights for white male property owners exclusively. Before long people will have to prove they own at least ONE house somewhere in order to be allowed to live out of their cars anywhere.

Without a doubt! It's their default and pretty much their only strategy for as far back as I can remember, and that's become a fairly long stretch. I recall brawling about this exact issue after the outcome of the 1980 election. My concerns were, as is customary, dismissed.

Sure, but this just reaffirms my backwards-ass longtime belief that more people should just stay home more of the time, so as policy it's encouraging to dolts like me. Your mileage may vary. Mine is nonexistent.

For gosh sakes how could it be otherwise? The DOGE operation has been from its inception an arson-for-insurance-fraud scheme. There was never even the pretense of surgically examining and excising waste from government; it's all been an immense pyrotechnic chainsaw massacre for the Reality TV crowd.

This is an "in for a dime, in for a dollar" guy, all charlatan all the time. He's built his brand and there's no way out without going the way of all Elons. He's stuck. We're stuck as a result.

Smart fella! I, too, have often found it easier to give up stuff I knew I was never gonna get.
