There's a special brand of sadness that comes with waking up at 3am and not being able to get back to sleep because I always, always get to thinking about so many people I've loved who died before everything got so complicated. And so, to distract from those memories, I inevitably pick up the phone.

I can tell some of you people have never watched the WWF/WWE. Elon is doing a classic “heel turn.” This builds tensions and keeps ratings high. By Electomania 2028, liberals will try to tag Elon in, but he’ll refuse. Then, when Trump is about to be pinned, he’ll bit Dems with a steel chair.

A young woman I know told me yesterday that she and her husband are expecting their first baby. It's traditional to give congratulations, but given the state of the world and its prognosis, the best I could do was to smile and say "oh, wow". I really feel sorry for kids being born into the future.

I'm getting increasingly freaked out that even formerly relatively close relationships now exist primarily through Facebook and a handful of other social media and phoned texts. But what alarms me most is even in-person meetings now at times feel like social media interactions. Brief. Smiley faced.

I seared some tuna in butter on a really hot griddle for a few minutes, turned down to medium high for a few, then to medium, and then medium low until just right inside and put a dill/lemon/mayo sauce (not pictured) all over it and ate it all up. And let me tell you, I don't regret it one bit.
