Just moved to a new house. (Woo!! So tired it’s hard to celebrate but it is exciting!) (still in Atlanta)
Homeowners: do you have a favorite source/app/etc to help remind you of the various things you’re supposed to do at whatever interval?
I’ve never been great at this.

I don't know about any apps, but...
- Smart devices usually let you know if they need something.
- Schedule recurring purchases for replaceable filters that align with their replacement schedule.
- Test smoke detectors every time you change your clocks for daylight savings
AC filter changes, washing the siding, etc. Just have them on a house calendar.
So Reminder app on your phone, in a calendar or ToDo app is probably just the smoothest and most reliable!
If you’ve got a hot water tank, ensuring the anode rod is monitored and replaced (I never knew this one myself - yearly)
Heating/cooling may need annual review
Smoke detector batteries at DST start/end
Gutters cleaned
And don’t forget which night to take out the trash
We just moved (well, a year ago) to a lower maintenance property: the garden in our old place, however small was high maintenance over summer. The lawns would need mowing twice a week it grew that fast!
I have time-based automations for which bins are being collected, the bed linens that need changing, when the kitchen and bathroom need cleaning.
I use a tiny amount of the features I’ve actually built for it, but it has given me huge insight into the UI/UX.
I need something that nags over and over
