I'll be at the Open Source Summit in Denver next week and am looking forward to chatting with folks about Open Source in government, content management systems, security/CVD, and related topics. This will be my first time at the event, so I'm also looking for speaker suggestions or general advice.

The #drupal CMS privacy track is (IMHO) super interesting to follow 🔐👀 as it is showing best-practices that can now (and in the future) be implemented in **any** Drupal site. Here’s a presentation from @jurgenhaas.bsky.social about it from Dev Days:

Happy spring, for those experiencing one! I did a little gardening this weekend, removing unwanted plants, trimming back some fruit trees, restacking these stone towers, thinking about great people who garden. Pretty good.

I uploaded a profile image of myself to my timesheet system. The filename was "><plaintext>.jpg. Now I'm trying to think of ways to explain to my boss why I named my profile like that if it breaks their ability to approve my timesheet. Suggestions welcomed.

I’m interested in this because it’s bikes, but this is also just a really good ground-level view of the cascading impact of these tariffs. www.bicycleretailer.com/industry-new...

The only thing missing from this blog post about updating #drupal sites automatically is a mic drop at the end. Facts matter. eiriksm.dev/9768-times-yes Composed by Eirik Morland 🎤⬇️

The annual #drupal developer survey needs your input! www.surveymonkey.com/r/drupal_dev... If you are a Drupal developer, please take a few minutes to complete this survey about IDEs, local development environments, and more.

This is inaccurate. There is no known vulnerability with Signal's core tech. The memo was discussing phishing attempts, which Signal has worked to mitigate. And it was hastily reported. It's important not to spread misinfo that can confuse people into moving away from meaningfully private comms.

Want to get a meal at one of the locations recommended by the local @drupalcon.bsky.social team? Here's a Google map to help you find them maps.app.goo.gl/3jUQgKV783uM... My thanks to the team for putting the list together! I've got my next meals planned now.

Great news: Carlos Ospina, @mike-anello.bsky.social Ana Laura Coto Tristán partnered with @drupalassociation.bsky.social to offer free job posts on jobs.drupal.org for entry level positions. The IXP Drupal program promotes community contributions. I appreciate their thoughtful approach.

The Trump administration's erasure of federal data has put the Internet Archive in the spotlight. The organization, with its small but mighty team, is working to help save the world's digital history.

#Drush 13.4 comes with new command allowing you to inspect #Drupal dependencies. Just type drush why:module node --type=module ...to get a list of modules that are depending on node. Or drush why:module node --type=config ...to get all config entities that are depending on node module.

It turns out that contracts don't actually need to have IMPORTANT STUFF IN ALL CAPS. It's a holdover from the days of typewriters. The legal need is just to make some text "conspicuous"—any number of design choices can accomplish this without making people read in all-caps. lu.is/2012/08/a-qu...

I have long considered a lightning round for technical incident managers where the interviewer calls out a word and the candidate must spell it. It’s harder than it sounds. Help me crowdsource this. I’ll lead off with iSCSI.

Hi, I use Signal for messaging people. I recommend it to be the default tool with folks whenever I can. The cross platform support is great and the security and privacy features are beyond compare. I encourage most everyone to sign up, use it with whomever you can, and consider donating if you can.

Is this a thing people can relate to?

I ended up building this thing and would be happy to open source it. Is there anyone else interested in this functionality who might want to help test it out before v 1.0?

A few years ago, I worked on a few different products. A stakeholder, let's call them Jordan, wanted to get rid of one of those products. Jordan would frequently share a variety of nonspecific criticisms: the name was awful, it was poorly designed, and the contents were bad. 🧵 1/5
