I have long considered a lightning round for technical incident managers where the interviewer calls out a word and the candidate must spell it. It’s harder than it sounds. Help me crowdsource this. I’ll lead off with iSCSI.

Hi, I use Signal for messaging people. I recommend it to be the default tool with folks whenever I can. The cross platform support is great and the security and privacy features are beyond compare. I encourage most everyone to sign up, use it with whomever you can, and consider donating if you can.

Is this a thing people can relate to?

I ended up building this thing and would be happy to open source it. Is there anyone else interested in this functionality who might want to help test it out before v 1.0?

A few years ago, I worked on a few different products. A stakeholder, let's call them Jordan, wanted to get rid of one of those products. Jordan would frequently share a variety of nonspecific criticisms: the name was awful, it was poorly designed, and the contents were bad. 🧵 1/5

I'm looking for a tool to identify text changes in ~10 web pages on a monthly basis. If the underlying HTML changes a little, that should be ignored. If the words or sentences shown to visitors change, I want to track that. Low/no cost. Possible to to run without servers. 1/4

Friends in tech - I'm launching a newsletter for tech recruiters on LinkedIn! We're halfway to our goal of 100 subscribers before launching the first issue. Would really appreciate if you could share this with recruiters in your network on LinkedIn 🙏 www.linkedin.com/posts/veniku...

I'm looking forward to attending Drupalcon Atlanta March 24-27th. I just registered! If you're heading, too, and would like to meet up, send a DM. I'm excited to get to say hello in person to lots of folks. Thanks to @drupalassociation.bsky.social and @drupalcon.bsky.social for a great event site.

I researched indoor air filters quite a bit relying on data from indoor air quality experts. They help with smoke, allergies, smells, and infections. Great cost, efficacy, and very quiet. Kudos to them for offering a discount now while demand is up.

I struggled to memorize phone numbers I should (e.g. my child). I started using their phone number as part of a password I commonly have to enter and...after one day I remember it. Magic. To stay secure, I also use other random elements in the password.

’Tis the season to hold this timeless holiday message close to our hearts.

My reaction when automated tests pass on the first run after I push to my branch.

I’ve been meaning to create this video quicktip showing the absolute basics of the Stage File Proxy module for a few months now and finally took the time to do it! Useful for those new to #Drupal and local (or personal) development environments. www.drupaleasy.com/video/2024/1...

My team is hiring in Austin! Come do Drupal stuff for me if you're willing to live in one of our BBQ capitols! jobs.apple.com/en-us/detail...

I'm once again asking for a show where a librarian, a bookseller, and a carpenter travel around helping people manage their out-of-control book collections. Discuss their sentimental value, their rarity, their histories, then build amazing book nooks and shelves and little libraries to organize them

When Twitter was in its failwhale era I never understood why they didn't offer some kind of subscription. Users would have been happy to support it at the time because we got a lot of value from the community. I could see paying for this. I know moderators and engineers need to eat!

Is anyone here really good at favicons? I usually just use one of the generators, but I’d love to do an especially good job this time. Tips and pointers much appreciated!

Conveniently delivering a lemon pie before Thanksgiving. Also, this service is used in France, so hopefully folks celebrating thanksgiving tomorrow will not be affected by this advisory.

Traffic from Bluesky to @bostonglobe.com is already 3x that of Threads, and we are seeing 4.5x the conversions to paying digital subscribers.

Remember: if you’re cold, they’re cold. Bring your babies in.

I would love to know about Drupal-powered, publicly-available software-as-a-service sites - reply and let me know! I mentioned wordweaver.pro few weeks ago, and I can also think of diffy.website - I’m sure there’s more of them out there… #drupal #sass

It's almost XMAS and we all should be nice so here is our GDPR dumper for #Drupal github.com/druidfi/drus... 🎁 🎅 🎄

If you use X/Twitter still, I strongly recommend at least deleting the app. Apps can gain much more information than being logged in to the site in a browser on your phone. Consider also deactivating your account or whatever, but for sure delete the app as a first step.

Introduce yourself with some jobs you’ve done apart from what you do now: - alphabetized documents in dentist's folders - cold calls inviting software dealers to Windows 95 launch party - car tire installation - camping/backpacking guide - Mountain bike sticker and t-shirt sales at events

Nominations are open for the 2025 Aaron Winborn Award! A great opportunity to recognize someone who embodies service, integrity, and kindness in the #Drupal community www.drupal.org/community/cw...

With everything out the window, just a reminder that Signal exists, and is at the least slightly more secure than Slack and Discord.

I just registered for this free, 1-hour lecture from @randomwalker.bsky.social and Beth Simone Noveck about opportunities and pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence use. Looking forward to it! - innovate-us.org/ai-snake-oil...
