Nova usually does a pretty forceful MREOoow and sometimes a more soft spoken Merrrp

Seven has a high pitched, more or less classic style MREOW. MREOW. MREOW. but when you pick him up it squeezes an EEEEEE out of him

Next door's cat has no catflap so calls to be let in & her 'let me in' meow is an eerily human sounding 'errROW?? errROW??!?'

She also boings like tigger instead of running, is terrible at scaling fences, is ridiculously sociable with everyone & goes to her humans when whistled for. I love her.

My cat:
Has a greeting meow for mornings & coming in from the catflap (mrrOW?)
A plaintive meow if she wants something or we've picked her up which she hates (weEhh!)
A quiet meow for late night when some of the people have gone to bed and she wants a fuss (rrra!)

The fact that she's quieter meowing at night suggests to me at least she's copied some of our cadences and volumes for different times of day/occasions.

pb has been a lot more vocal since we moved, pretty much makes a "mmmrrrrrr?" sound any time he jumps up 2 say hey or walks in the room and has always screamed at me when presented with a gravy snack

Hopper chirps when she's about to jump on my lap and when she walks into the room but I haven't acknowledged her.
Pip meows like he's singing an opera but only when it's time for food. Hopper has started to follow his cue, but her meow is a tiny little squeak

Sometimes the Goblin Queen forgets I exist and goes MRRRRRRR?!?!? when I squish her. This is especially funny when she forgets I exist *while she's sitting on me*
