This is why I want to see a cooking competition show where the chefs have 50 bucks to go into a Kwik Trip and feed 12.
See what skill can do with the ingredients people can get on their own.
I really need a cooking show because I can show you how to ACTUALLY do that
When searing a roast before roasting, use mayo instead of oil. It'll get a lil more smoky, but the crust that develops is next level.
My entire cooking style is reductive like that - coming up with new ideas is easy when you view everything as building blocks
**** stew: take one pound of veal and add 2 grams of fresh organic saffron...
so many cooking shows nowadays are so bougee, making dishes with ingredients no one can locally source (or have the need to).
Like who is their target audience? cause the people who can afford this, don't cook for themselves.
Sir, I've seen how fast you peel & chop vegetables - it's going to take us a lot longer
But seriously. There is a place in hell where the only thing you eat for eternity is chef creative cuisine.
