It's well worth it. I ran out of words to say more about it, but there's some absolutely fascinating stuff in there. Much like John Lloyd overruled Richard Boden when directing Blackadder Goes Forth, Grant Naylor do exactly the same to De Emmony...

Yeah, although May did seem to be more genuinely out of her depth than Emmony.

Though she did more multicam work before Red Dwarf that most people realise, I think.

You’ll know better than me but if my dim memory of the DVD documentaries is right, didn’t they say both May and DeE were fine directors, just out of their depth on the sheer effects / comedy / everything Dwarf demanded?
