Poshmark, the next in the line of companies tacking "AI" onto anything and everything. I'm trying to buy less new stuff, but I'm no longer buying used things from Poshmark.

I buy online more than I sell, but a little of both. I guess AI could help flesh out search terms, but all I can imagine is that standard AI slop, descriptions that don't add anything beyond the photographs, and hallucinations. I don't think the time savings are worth the environmental impact.
Search terms are (currently) a big deal for clothes since most people can't actually articulate things like "jacquard peplum three quarter sleeve blouse in chartreuse" but educated buyers would want that. It's a massive time savings for me anyway, and less friction = more selling.
Not to mention, the number of pointless drop down questions you have to fill out in the current flow is infuriating. Power sellers pay for 3rd party cross posting apps which tbh aren't much better. Imo AI will completely change 2nd hand shopping for the better.
Most sellers are barely scraping by (this was true at Etsy as well) and again I want to emphasize just how mind-numbing the photography and listing process is. I've sold hundreds of listings and it only through sheer will and enjoyment, probably making pennies on the hour.
