90% of the google doc is just stuff for you to copy and paste. I thought that was a better approach than overloading people with dozens of tabs. I promise it's easier than it seems if you just scroll through it in order : )

Not at all, the more we make our voices heard the harder we are to ignore. It'll also help fight against this both now and in the future if there's clear evidence that the government ignored the people

I emailed my MP and did the consultation thing (even though they have added the provisions to the #DataBill already).

To be honest I don't want to dox myself and make an e-petition ;_; but they take months/years to get to thresholds for debate, so makes sense to focus on contacting MPs first

The questionnaire made me so mad that i've had to save it and walk away three times so far. I will go back and get it done though. What annoys me is that there is not one consideration that creatives don't want our work harvested AT ALL! It's just 'you're a potato, prepare to be chips'.

It's infuriating and incredibly biased. I figured the mental toll would make a lot of people who want to be heard walk away, and I honestly can't blame anyone for that.

Thank you! The answers in your guide will be useful to help me form my own responses. The questions assume a lot - like we're all tech savvy & understand the ramifications of allowing this to go forward. It doesn't even consider that some creatives don't use the internet and their voices matter too.

If they make an exception for AI there is only one logical next step. A step i unfortunately have to support.

The entire removal of all copyright and patents.
Because why just remove those restrictions from Ai?

It's basically a bunch of waffling double-speak that doesn't commit to either side of the argument. The last paragraph makes it seem like he understands the opt-out concept favours tech companies, however his use of the word 'effective' is concerning as opt-out legitimately doesn't work.
