Massive encroachment by Bezos into The Washington Post’s opinion section - makes clear dissenting views will not be published

I still have not felt encroachment on my journalism on the news side, but if Bezos tries interfering with the news side I will be quitting immediately and letting you know

Sorry for you guys. Lots of good work on the news side. Can’t imagine this move will increase subscribers. Looking back this will all appear like a coordinated effort to disassemble traditional media structures, push reporting to platforms like Substack, which are much easier to ignore.

We really tried sticking with the paper to support the journalists but that was as a last straw. Pls journalists, it's hard and you're under pressure but pls begin working to build a non profit newspaper. We will support you!

We had interactions with WashPo reporters since 2021 & by 2023 we truly believed the editors were unethical. Journalism standards need to be clarified and enforced. Journalists can opt into the standards & then readers will have confidence.

I would be a "tool of the state" if I wasn't allowed to do my work. As I said, in that case, I would quit.

Right now, we have millions of followers who trust and follow us on TikTok and YouTube for our content and I want to serve them.
