My band supported Scritti Politti once and it was probably the only really cool thing I will ever do and to top it off they were very nice to us and we shared a big box of doughnuts #totp

I was in a band that was supported by Wet Wet Wet. Hell of a day that, but not my favourite gig. I played in a covers band once that played in an artist’s collective farmhouse in Milton Keynes. Best gig I ever played.
It was indeed, and Pete was kind enough to put us up for the night as well. I seem to remember that there was talk of Stephen Tintin Duffy being on the bill too - to be honest I'm glad that didn't happen as I might have lost my mind entirely
I was in a local band and got friendly with the backstage crews at local venues. Steve Severin was in a side project with Robert Smith and Budgie and Siouxsie came to the gig.
My mate called me to say they were a stagehand down and could I help.
Siouxsie thanked me with a small peck on the cheek.
Yours is pretty cool too. I smoked a joint with the chick from the Thompson Twins too. I gave her a side eye when she handed me the lipstick smeared doobie. She told me I should feel honored. I begged to disagree. Is a theme developing here?
Know what you mean, me and my buddy were once the opening act to another Swedish band. Covenant they called themselves, and were quite prolific in Europe at least. 30 years later, I'm still feeling the rush.
Ah, I saw them live and they were supported by an all-girl band, sort of modern day Josie and the Pussycats. Thinking about it, it must’ve been about 2006-ish

But it's not doughnuts with Scriti Politi
Everyone should be interested.
