Storygraph is not author friendly. By leaving goodreads you hurt the smalltime author. It costs us extra to upload our books there. Please consider that.

I didn’t know what this was referring to so I looked it up. It looks like the company issued a mea culpa and removed the problematic feature earlier this month.
Oh, I didn't know this. Would you mind elaborating? I plan to send them feedback as well and would like to be specific. It's such a great platform from the reader perspective, I'd love to help them make it more user friendly for authors.
Another author shared this: "I have 9 books out, I have to pay a fee to list them all. I tried to list the four I am allowed during my test of the app, but they still haven't shown up. A week later."
Thank you! I’ve sent a gentle note to the storygraph support email sharing feedback and asking them to consider alternatives for indie/small authors. ❤️
Folks we have to do better about sharing this misinformation. SG does not charge authors, no legit biz would. Silly. Fable dropped that AI summary nonsense when people complained. Both beat GR currently in the ethics department. Hopefully both will give better author access as they develop.
Thank you for sharing this because I was not aware. I am going to send feedback today and ask how they are helping smalltime authors. I definitely do not want to hurt authors who aren't mainstream in the process.
