What I mean is that even though it looks like a mess of pipes, the actual geometry must've been restricted to only the new segments in that frame, and then discarded once it was rasterized, which is why the camera doesn't move, since there is no "scene".

The famous 3D Maze screensave also isn't a raycaster like a lot of people think, it's OpenGL and is in that repo too.
