I created PicoGUS, an ISA card that can emulate sound cards like the Gravis Ultrasound, Sound Blaster, and MPU-401: https://picog.us I’m a retrocomputing generalist! Also on Fedi at https://bitbang.social/@polpo In Colorado, USA

SilverStone reveals the FLP02 late-80s style beige tower PC case at Computex 2025. Wow this is going to be awesome! Link: www.tomshardware.com/pc-component...

Made it to #RMRRF for a bit!

#PicoGUS can now emulate both a CDROM drive and Sound Blaster in parallel, smoothly playing both CD audio and SB sound effects simultaneously. Still a lot of polish to do before a new firmware release but I'm excited!! This is MechWarrior 2 with bin/cue stored on a USB stick plugged into the PicoGUS

Randomly saw this new United Airlines seatmap for their 787 flights on Reddit and I was flabbergasted. There are only 10 rows of normal seats on this entire airplane. Over half is taken up by little lie flat bed suites. Who is affording this or flying enough to get upgraded to this? Boggles my mind

Tariffs just got real: our first $36K bill with 125% + 20% + 25% markup hits hard 💸. These are upfront costs - due before selling a single unit - causing serious cash flow strain, price increases, read more! 📦 adafruit.com/tariffbill #tariffs

Last night I experimented with CDROM emulation on PicoGUS using iso or bin/cue on a USB stick, using code from yyzkevin. I first thought RP2040’s USB would be too slow but after seeing the Pico ODE for 3DO that emulates the same MKE interface, I have newfound confidence that it will be fast enough.

If you see this, post the most recent photo of yourself from your camera roll.

Just placed my first Aisler PCB order! I'm excited to see how the boards turn out.

@stopskeletons.bsky.social 16 player Midi Maze!!

I'm biased but I still love how the PicoGUS card looks. That deep red is just the best!
