I'm afraid I do too

This chart reads like the dril candles tweet. Seems like the only ones actually making money are the ones like AWS providing the "web services" part of it

Ah, the days when all you needed to do to get an animated series made was do a funny voice

That would be a great way to do it. I still need to test joystick + mass storage device on a hub. It should work theoretically but I haven’t tried it yet.

I want to try something like that but I’m worried about games that override the BIOS keyboard handler. We’ll see what works!

It should work, but I haven't figured out a good way to swap CD images yet. Maybe a TSR for DOS and a small utility for Windows...

Good luck!! 🤞

Maybe this is the correct orientation for the southern hemisphere

Ooh, semi hot take, but I kinda get it.

The way the edge connector is attached is clever. Was it similar on the original board?

Oh dang. That car really didn't look at all! Glad you're OK, minus the tea

Now that I think of it, that was the track that really made me lock in and get the best times.

And GenAI has disappointingly been creeping into the demoscene, even in oldskool productions. There were a lot of Amiga prods at Revision this year that were pretty shameless about it. There are tons of artists out there that would love to contribute to a prod!

Before I learned that COAST modules weren't intercompatible I just casually moved one from one board I have to another. I got lucky!

I can get around the worst of it by having prototype PCBs made in the EU by Aisler, and for production runs there may be a chance of getting an exemption from the mega-bad tarrifs because I make "Parts And Accessories For Automatic Data Processing Machines And Units Thereof". But nothing is certain.

AuthenticAMD! Btw when we visited NYC last month we got MetroCards knowing it was going to be our last chance 🥲

So happy to see you again!

Yes! In fact it should already be working in theory but there’s a bug I need to fix.

Another hour of hacking and we have decent CDROM speeds equivalent to a bit more than a 2X drive. Here it is running the intro FMV to Mechwarrior 2 with simultaneous Sound Blaster and CDROM. Need to tweak things still, since the CDROM reading is starving the audio playback (hence the audio stutter)

Oooh. It's been a long time since I've seen them but it was an amazing show.

It will support CD audio as soon as I fix a couple bugs!

They’re more expensive than the usual suspects in China but still way cheaper than anything I can get here in the US. Their design rules on their cheapest service are a bit less forgiving than JLC’s, and they only offer green solder mask, but I can deal with that for now…

Believe it or not, it's OpenGL: github.com/ecumber/winn... The famous 3D Maze screensave also isn't a raycaster like a lot of people think, it's OpenGL and is in that repo too.

It's funny, playing old games with modern controllers feels like cheating sometimes, since they're so much more responsive than old joysticks.

Congrats!!

Ugh and it's the action game too. That's never going to sell!

One feature I miss from the Twitter days is turning off reposts from certain people.
