The single party probably have a lot of disagreement within itself, so in the end there's not a single mind decision.
It's not like having a monarchy. Way worse.
And i never mentioned a Monarchy, but i do agree an Absolute monarchy is much worse than most forms of government
How do you eat properly in 30 minutes?
No way you can cook your own meal in 30 minutes
Here in Brazil we have an entire hour and it's pretty tight to cook and eat
30 minutes is just impossible!
=)
That's what I talk about to my fellow compatriots here in Brazil
They never believed me
But now everyone can see it too.
Quite nice, heh?
Now I wish I live in China again. My parents originally brought me to US to find better life 20 years ago but seems like the table has been turned.
Here free healthcare is universal!
all these other places can figure out how to give their ppl free meals and paid lunch but our children need to crowdfund so they can eat in schools. and we gotta beg and protest to get breaks or not work 12+ hour days everyday bc its understaffed
the US keeps talking about how socialism is so dangerous ppl should be tortured and shot over it (as they were in LATAM dictatorships the US financed), so yes, making a joke anout dangers of socialism when seeing chinese ppl with nice working conditions is funny
and it's not uncommon see the same trend through the globe
2/3 of the globe watch in awe how unbelievable awful US citizens are treated in their own country – the richest in the world (!)
If it's unpaid, hell no I don't want to sit at work 2hrs without pay, give me the shortest lunch I can take. If it's paid, sure but I doubt that.
The estragos unidos is the exception, real countries have paid lunch breaks - that, or have salaried employees with monthly wages.
Are you okay?
you need a hug and labor laws
That said, I'm also a master at slacking at the job, so do the math.
That's for retail and light labor jobs. When I worked a car wash the break was definitely needed.
If its a thing of like hey you can take lunch for anywhere from 30mins-2hrs that would be pretty chill.
I figured it was a forced 2hrs, if not that's cool, everyone gets choices.
Sorry if I'm being ignorant but this is news to me.
Its stupid but basically businesses fought it tooth and nail because 'why should we pay for their lunch when they aren't even working' basically

Do you guys receive compensation for gas or public transport or the employer also thinks that you can magically appear in their workplace?
Remember: you are doing the work, not them
And you don't get compensation for anything, really. You get your hourly wage, and that's it unless your job has benefits, which most don't.
And basically you bring lunch and eat it in the break room.
Why???
At work I'd be stuck watching YouTube or something for 2 hrs.
your lunch hours ARE UNPAID?
In Brazil, we have a mandatory break (according to the total of working hours of the day), but you're free to take it anywhere you want, you can leave the building and go back after this period if you like to, but you're not paid for this time.
What the fucking fuck, not only mine are paid, but I also receive extra money specifically to buy my lunch. LOL
