I watched a video that someone posted suggesting that it was better to simply use Amazon as a search engine and once you found the item you wanted, go to that site and buy directly from them. S&H would be a little more, but it's better than buying through Amazon.

So far I’ve been using Costco and Temu (only the local warehouse items). I have done the regular but it does take forever to get here. If you click “local warehouse” it’s very quick.

Thing is....Amazon delivery is not where they make the bulk of their money. It is AWS - the Cloud - which powers most every electronic device and any internet-facing "thing" (the Internet of Things) that we use on a daily basis. Just seems the disadvantage we would endure far outweighs the benefit

There is a small local hardware store near me where I can get most house/yard type stuff. I buy about 95% of my stuff locally. I support our food co-op and locally or regionally owned grocery stores. I quite Amazon quite a long time ago and haven't had any issues sourcing from elsewhere.
