Leonard Peltier is a Native elder who was part of AIM and was in an extremely suspect shootout with the feds when they were doing some bullshit and ballistics proved like twenty years or more ago the fed who died was a casualty of friendly fire, but the FBI is dead set against him dying free.

Who shot who first there are multiple books on because it was all extremely sketchy and around the time a lot of activitists in the Native community were turning up dead in ditches because there was uranium in the Black Hills but he didn't shoot anyone and he's been in jail like 60 years now.
