From what I have seen, the quality of a Sonic racing game seems to improve the less Sonic Team is actually involved with it.

Just like when the game was revealed, my expectations are at rock bottom and that still hasn't changed

i'm much less worried after being able to actually... see the game??? that teaser at The Game Awards was the worst idea ever imo, this looks like a simple but mechanically rich racing game that i'll enjoy :)
