Semaglutide is for patients who need to control their A1c and manage diabetes, weight loss is a side effect. People can’t get it now bc everyone wants to lose weight without making actual lifestyle changes.

Why medicare will not pay for his entire script as prescribed by his dr is something I am going to write my congressman about but I also use them for one of my inhalers which is an almost $400 savings for me. Follow the bouncing ball: I have no insurance. CVS wanted $700 for my script and came down to $520 WITH a discount I asked for. I pay $185 through CostPlus. Husbands script was not covered at all under medicare. CVS charge was $230 mthly. CostPlusDrugs is $8 for 90 day supply.

I’m guessing because you can price things two ways: “market-driven” where you price things according to what the market will pay, independent of cost, and “cost, plus margin” where your price is set as an increment of the cost to the business. Cost Plus is a common term in business to indicate that the sale price is tied to the cost and not the demand. If that is what Cuban intends then it is a fairer system than a demand based one.

It's a perfect description of what you pay out of pocket: the drugs are sold at cost plus a 15% margin. Mark uses that margin to expand his manufacturing network capabilities so that the company can expand its drug offerings.
