People on bluesky will really be like "you believe in firebombing Tesla? that pales in effectiveness to my strategy, winning elections" and then not win an election.

I wonder when people will wake up to the fact that elections in a capitalist society are virtually useless and the opposite of a free democracy. It's a performance, an act.
And it's plainly obvious at this point. I don't understand why so many people still believe in them.
To clarify: in a capitalist democracy, we are ultimately forced to choose between bourgeois candidates. Those who truly represent the working class either lack a good platform or simply do not exist.
It’s a democracy for the bourgeoisie, but a veiled dictatorship for the working class.
No it's not. If a single policy has a material impact in a single person it automatically makes it not a "performance".
You can do all of the things you need to do to bring out the change you want, and also vote. Refusing to vote because for the reasons you give is the performative action.
I never said "refuse to vote", but if people want real change, they can't keep thinking the elections are the answer. They're not. They can cause a few individual improvements here and there, but nothing will change, systematically. It doesn't matter who wins, everything will continue to be shit.
To be clear, if we are still stuck in a social democracy within capitalism, of course you should vote for the lesser of two evils. It's better than doing nothing at all.
But elections are not the answer and never will be, not within this system. That is what I'm saying.
Totally bro. American democracy is a failure that serves to enrich and empower white supremacy and global oppression. It should be torn down by force, but also keep participating because uuuh….blue wave or something idk
The solution is clearly to firebomb Tesla and also actually win elections (whilst not throwing minorities under the bus, or giving ground to malcontents).

But if it fails, plan B for Burn it is!
