Love this as always from Geoff (and the bold headline!) & it's highlighted something that always bugs me. The incredible success of the team leaves the selectors without much accountability. There are many times they don't pick the seemingly best XI but it doesn't matter because they win anyway

I'd argue they picked too many bowlers! I understand what you mean, but the selectors obviously feel that it's important for Healy to be in the team. I would've loved to see Wareham play as well but....

You could argue also that the batters picked would give the part timers more than enough time. McGrath would be a front liner in a lot of teams, Sutherland too. I get your point, but they obviously have a culture bent rather than a technical one
