Vaush you should be lifting weights like Hasan and I to get yolked, not on a stationary bike so you can go nowhere fast. Idk if Peloton bikes let you lift weights or not, maybe you can put one on your chest and bench press idk
Check return policies and if they offer a 30 day satisfactory or return for free. You can use that as a test trial. While yes it will be annoying to return if you don't like it, it's better then wasting money a a maybe.
People I know who have one love it. I’m sure you would, too. I didn’t like the cost of the subscription, so I threw my old CX bike on a wahoo kicker trainer and use Zwift. I LOVE indoor training waaay more than i imagined. But wouldn’t enjoy Peleton. I don’t want someone “training” me.
The most effective way to get in the best shape you can is to count calories and progressively overload resistance training. Do that consistently and you will be in the best shape of your life in no time.
Just think: you could be burning calories, panting, and sweating while having instructions barked at you, and then you could get out of bed and get some exercise on the bike!
i fucked up while using one and needed to get stitches in my foot, but thats cuz i was being a dumbass so just dont be a dumbass and you should be fine :D
I've heard people say that a regular spin bike with the peloton app on your phone works just as good if you want to save some $. But the peloton does look cool- has some extra features to consider.
This seems much easier to store in your home. Would you miss any of the “smart” feature of a peloton? I guess you can park it in front of a television but can they dynamically change resistances to simulate a given route? Could it emulate real world routes? I also wonder if it work fit an e-bike 🤔
You mount the rear axel to it and a kind of grooved wheel chock to elevate the front. Mine has a toggle that attaches to the front cross bar that allows me to adjust the resistance as I'm pedaling. There's another main resistance knob on the back as well. You also have your gears.
I have a schwin ic4 that I use with the peloton app and I love it. Sometimes I do wish I had the actual peloton but this is cheaper up front AND cheaper monthly subscription!
Well sure, if you want to support a VC funded soulless corp. Better yet would be to find someone who repairs bikes and get one of those. Recycle (pun intended) and get from point A to point B. If you need it stationary you can buy mounts to put said real bike on.
I have one. The classes are cool and it's fun to watch your power numbers in real time. We got a used one for cheap. You could take a trial spinning class at a studio to see if you like it in general.
peloton is really really good at what it does but holy shit is the subscription expensive - a lot of gyms have one, would recommend trying one a few times and seeing if you like it

Been a while since I heard anything about them but most companies are repugnant, why would they be any different?
Carpet is fine, but it tore up the carpet at my parents when they bought one.
A Peleton does not have that versatility.

they're fairly stationary
