I couldn't agree more! Imo the filler episodes are what made the show fun to watch! It feels weird to say that, but they give us the opportunity to spend more time with the main cast! Everyone is just extremely likable in the 90s show!

Watch part of it back in late 90s/early 00s (adult then and now) and thought it was solid. (My screen name is from a Sailor Moon-themed mu* about then).

Watched it a few years ago (fully) and it's still good but man does some stuff not age well. (This is normal tho)

I think as a teen I was disappointed that it didn't take itself seriously at all but as an adult that's my favorite thing about it. But also my opinion might change once I get to the Chibiusa eras

I think it helps too that this is now not the *only* version of the anime that exists so it doesn't matter that they ignore the plot until the last 2 episodes and then spend all of the climax falling off a building for literally 30 minutes. Now I can laugh at how stupid that is

One big thing to remember is that there's a huge tone swing between S and SuperS that I know it's caused a lot of people to really not enjoy SuperS.

R and Stars are still my favorite arcs though.

My issue with SM on the rewatch is that the episodes are essentially the same when it comes to bad guys. But it’s also hard to compare what could be done back then with now, as that’s not fair. The slice of life parts are great and it’s always fun trivia that is has the highest on screen kill count.
