The mistake is made by the Danes: they are ready to give sovereignty to the Greenlanders. This must ring an alarm bell in the US and Canada. As Peskow said today: Trump is afraid of the 90 icebreakers we could deploy.

Glem ikke, at Grønland er forholdsvis korrupt, og, at der er meget større social ulighed end i Danmark. Og at en gruppe af familier/klaner har uforholdsmæssigt meget magt. Disse har deres på det tørre i at samarbejde med USA i stedet for med Danmark.

Faktisk vil mange af dem have fordele. En person som Pele Broberg f.eks. der er virksomhedsejer og en velhavende person; vil have fordel af ikke at skulle svare 43/44% i skat til omfordeling, og vil med sin meget Liberale ideologi kun se fordele ved at slippe for dette.

Yes indeed. It defines the real problem, whereby Trump actually agrees with Putin that the Westphalian world order is to be replaced by 'great' nations having a sphere of influence and dictating terms to smaller nations to their benefit. Ukraine, it will be agreed, will be in Russia's sphere.

I think a break of US and Europe is inevitable at this point. The security architecture of the cold war is finished. The Americans don't care about Ukraine/Europe, they only want to focus on their struggle for dominance against China. Europe needs to become a self-sustaining defensive block.

The incoming Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald LP, who is the biggest institutional investor in the Tanbreez rare earth mining site in Greenland. Lots of gallium and germanium which China just restricted US access to. So, I agree that minerals is at the core here.

Trumph has subjected Denmark to an incredibly rough campaign of swindling, threats of an economic embargo and threats of military attack. With the aim of taking over territory.
