This is a delay tactic, designed to keep Trump at the table and extract pressure on Kyiv.

It's not an agreement if only one side is agreeing. It's a demand for Ukraine to stop striking ruzzia. Trump's "ceasefire" got laughed out the room by Putin so that idea is now dead.

Meanwhile spring is almost here, and so the benefits of attacking the Ukrainian energy grid is severely diminished. So Ukraine gets nothing out of this, and Russia gets to reduce some of the pressure of their economy. Truly the art of the deal on full display.

I think it's been a bit under reported how extensive and successful that deep strike campaign has been. A lot of ink spilled on Russia's destruction of Ukr's energy grid. But the Ukrainians have really shredded the oil infrastructure in western Russia and it's gotta be biting.

It is a delay tactic. Trump keeps threatening real change in an upcoming speech, April 2nd. Delay Ukraine till then, then he will have declared himself God or king and will threaten any country who doesn't obey him. He has the backing of autocratic countries. Hes excited about his April 2nd speech.

it means Russia can stockpile ballistic missiles and amplify a future attack using the black sea. The result of this phonecall is giving russia a big leverage, while stopping Ukraine of building its own Advantage.
