We reported on this a few days ago, but I want to point out this headline because this is where we are at.

A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth.

HAIRCUTS.

This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.

How does one define a gender conforming haircut? I remember when I was in 4th grade a girl in 5th grade shaved her head for reasons unknown and people talked about it for like a week and then everyone just moved on. That would have been in the 90’s.

There was a (cis het) girl in my grade in school growing up. She had a short pixie cut and often wore sporty clothes. I remember once in 6th grade a teachers aide started screaming at her in the bathroom. She thought she was a boy in the girls bathroom. The girl was humiliated.
