1. RCV works, and quite well
2. Renterism is his primary focus for change
3. Youth
4. The *other* is not weird, the other is us

Are you including all the Dems from across the US who simply don't care about a NYC mayoral race, haven't been asked about it, and wouldn't have an opinion if asked? The Rethugs are nationalizing a local primary issue for their own reasons but in the real world most Dems aren't involved at all.

Just to be clear I LIKE Mamdani though as a Dem from the PNW I never heard of him until a few days ago. I just think we should keep in mind that most Dems including elected ones in Congress don't consider NY politics to be the center of the universe. The DNC is neutral on primaries.

There is something to be learned about exciting voters, energizing and leading, but meanwhile out in the rest of the nation people are focused on their issues or on the latest Trump horror and likely don't think they know enough about him to say anything one way or the other.

I get a bunch of requests too. I especially am offended by the "donate to overturn Citizens United" requests. Unfortunately, many don't understand that this misnomered decision by SCOTUS will never be overturned -- both political parties have sold their souls to PACs.

Hey,I'm with you as I've received solicitation from the DNC and aligned PACs and have refused them all. I've written the DNC over the last 5 years, asking them to be more supportive of progressive ideas and policies. I'm angry that elite Demos won't support younger progressives. It's a damn shame!

I get an average of 20 emails and texts a day from Democrats asking for $. I might eventually donate to individual candidates. However, I refuse to donate directly to the Party that CONTINUES to vote with REPUBLICANS. I don’t think I’ll ever trust any of them again. 😳😔
