In the 70s, he topped the Billboard Hot 100 with five #1 hits & had many more in the Top 40. Among accolades are induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1986, Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001 & The US Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012. Gordon Lightfoot died in May 2023.

42 years ago I and my boyfriend/now husband listened to Gordon all the way from Texas to Colorado on our 1st big trip together. I don't remember the exact tape but we never got tired of it. He was a great one!

I saw him so many times over the years... Stratford Festival, Massey Hall... even saw him on the last night of his last tour. We used to sing his songs around the campfire at summer camp. Everyone knew all the words. So many memories... Love all of his songs!
